Plenty of foreigners come to Latin America and don’t often pay attention to the issues other foreigners have and they often don’t dig their roots too deep into life down here. Suffice to say, their perception of the risks is sometimes not very strong.
By far one of my more difficult hikes was getting up close to Santiaguito Volcano. But definitely worth the trip! Great views.
