A Trip to Xochimilco Ecological Park in Mexico City

Published October 1, 2022 in Uncategorized - 0 Comments

In Xochimilco of Mexico City, there is an ecological park that often gets overlooked by foreigners visiting the area.

Most tend to just go to the water with the trajineras and leave it at that.

Anyway, there's a lot more you can see in Xochimilco area beyond the trajineras and one thing you can enjoy is the Xochimilco Ecological Park.

It's located across the street from some other park called Cuemanco.

Anyway, I'll keep this simple and you can enjoy the photos below.

The entrance was free.

They did have a museum from what I saw inside the park but it was closed when I got there.

The park is fairly well taken care of.

Surprisingly so.

So many parks I visit in Mexico City have trash on the ground but I didn't seen any trash here whatsoever.

Didn't see any other gringos.

They do have some trajineras that you can get on if you like.

Price there is same as elsewhere: 500 pesos an hour as of 2022.

It wasn't overly crowded but it did have plenty of locals.

Mostly just an area to take a nice walk above all though.

They have a nice area too with a few park benches that you can sit down on to enjoy a view of the water as you'll see in the photos below.

Nothing else to mention.

Enjoy!

Thanks for reading.
